This was the first session of our DSPP lab practicals.We were suposed to take a N point signal as the input and find DFT of the signal.Also we had to observe the effect of zero padding on the magnitude spectrum of the signal.We used C to write the code for the experiment.After obtaing the output with and without zero padding we learnt that with zero padding, the frequemcy spacing decreases, error in representation decreases and also there is an increase in the resolution and quality of the spectrum.

Since the first experiment had part A and part B, we required almost two weeks to complete it. How did it happen in your batch?
ReplyDeletethis was first experiment given to our batch unlike others...so we had an experience of other batches for the convolution experiment....so we could complete it in one week..
